Hello! There’s something I’ve been thinking about recently. Usually when I go somewhere I write about the things I do, and mostly about my food experiences. But today I realized that I almost never write anything about my food experiences here in Stockholm, where I live. Those who are following my twitter might have seen some pictures now and then, but I thought I’d make an effort to actually write about some places today ^-^ So here goes! I’m going to write about some recent places where I went to for dinner. Some are a bit pricy and some not-so-pricy ~
All the pictures are taken with an iPhone, and edited with Instagram ^^
feel free to follow me there, Magicuu@Instagram

Hello again! so I haven’t had much time for blogging lately. ^^;; but yeah I thought I’d sum up the pas week a bit in this post ^_^ I bought a new top from Ginatricot recently ^^ it’s slowly getting warmer here so I thought I wanted to buy something for the summer ^^;; and this was on sale for only 70 SEK so… yeah.
And decided to switch iPhone cases again ~

the jeans blouse is from somewhere in Shibuya 109 ~
I like to borrow my bf’s sweater ^^;;
some random hair and makeup. wig VS no wig ~
oh and we at TIFF had a dinner meeting yesterday. So I wanted to look like a serious business woman! haha, dunno’ if I pulled it off. But anyway. We had so much delicious food!
We had dinner at a place called Tezukuri Sushi in Hammarby Sjöstad. It’s such a lovely place. and they have umeshu <3
I’ve also been working on some more Uppcon stuff ~ but at least the t-shirts are finished now and ready for print ^^
oh and I went to a Starcraft II event (DreamHack EIZO Open Stockholm) for the first time in my life :’D My boyfriend (and lots of other friend as well) love Starcraft and they had an extra ticket so I decided to come as well. I haven’t really watched that much Starcraft II, and I’ve only played Starcraft I when I was little, but it was actually really fun. ^_^ A swedish guy called Thorzain won, which I think was really cool. He’s such a great player. For second and third place where two guys from South Korea of course :’D but they played really good as well. I’m not that into it yet so I don’t know that many players and so, but I think I’ll try to watch more Starcraft games from now on. ^-^
Hello! I’ve been having some Japan-cravings lately, and my solution to that has been to make lots of Japanese food… ^^; so here’s some more! this time I decided to try and make one of my favorite sweets: Melon pan! (メロンパン)

I served it at an easter party later ^_^
To make it, I followed this video recipe:
It was kind of hard to follow the measuring instructions, but I found it easier when using a units converter, for example this one (english) or this one (swedish). I also found a similar recipe that’s in writing instead, if you find it easier to follow ^-^ This was the first time I ever tried to make Melon Pan, and I have to say it wasn’t all that easy to make x_x but I’m happy about the result. They may not be as pretty as the original, but they tasted delicious ~
At the convenient store they usually look something like this:

And here’s mine, fresh out the oven ~
いただきます!
Hello! I just remembered that I had a strong craving for Onigiri a while ago, so I spontaneously made some from things I had at home ^^ So I thought I’d share the recipe!

We bought this cute bento from Loft when we were in Tokyo ~
Onigiri Recipe
Begin to cook some rice. To make it perfectly sticky I followed this recipe and made rice for 4 persons.
- 2 cups sushi rice (actually I used regular jasmine rice)
- 2 cups water
- 4 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 tablespoons mirin
I didn’t follow the cooking instructions completely though, because I was hungry and didn’t want to wait for the rice to dry. I usually just follow the cooking instructions on the rice package. Also, I added the sauce after the rice had finished boiling, but I think it turned out okay anyway!
When the rice is finished it’s time to make some fillings. For that I decided to use things I had at home, and those things were… chicken, mayonnaise and Okonomiyaki sauce. so that’s what I used ^^; I didn’t have a recipe for this, but I just went with it.
- 400 g chicken
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- oil to fry the chicken
- 2 tablespoons Kewpie mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons Okonomiyaki sauce
Fry the chicken in a pan together with oil and soy sauce until it’s cooked. Then chop it up into smaller pieces, put it into a bowl and add mayonnaise and sauce. If it seems to dry, just add more mayonnaise or sauce. Although I used the Japanese Kewpie Mayo (I like it the best) and Okonomiyaki sauce, you can use any kind of sauce you like. I think other bulldog sauces would be delicious too.
Now it’s time to make the onigiri! Fill a bowl with cold water (some suggest you stir in a couple teaspoons of salt in it, but I don’t like too much salt so I usually skip that part) Dip your hands in the water before beginning to make each onigiri. This way the rice won’t stick to your hands too much. Then start shaping your onigiri. I decided to make circles and triangles. You can shape it by cupping your hands together and clumping the rice together. When you’ve made a nice shape, make a small hole in the middle and add your filling, then cover with rice and form it into the right shape again. When you’re done you can fold a strip of nori (seaweed) around the onigiri if you like. I made a quick visual guide of this~
And that’s it! いただきます!
Oh and I forgot to take proper pictures of the inside of my onigiri, but here’s a picture I took with my iPhone:

Hello. I just uploaded some random video clips from my recent trip to Tokyo ^-^ most of the clips are shot with my iPhone, so I’m sorry about the bad quality ^^; I need to use a video camera more often. but anyway, just thought I’d share~
Japan: Gets
Hello! I wrote in my earlier post from Tokyo that I was going to do a food post as well. So here it is! ^-^
I had so much delicious food. I don’t think I managed to take pictures of it all. But I did take a lot of food pictures! also, I played around a bit when I edited them so… I hope you don’t mind ^^;
On to the pictures! (lots of them) —v
soo… Christmas is upon us! … was upon us. I hope everyone had a nice Christmas. I sure did ^-^ Though I’m terribly busy as always… but I still wanted to make time to write a blog post. But it won’t be a very long post I’m afraid. ^^;;
But anyway. Christmas!
I had a wonderful Christmas together with my family and relatives. Lots of laughter and delicious food and candy.
Also, I made a t-shirt graphic for my cousin. ^^

she loves candy, games, manga, dogs and lots of other “geeky” things. ^-^ I’m also planning on selling a similar design at TIFF in the future. But we are currently ongoing maintenance, so we don’t handle any orders at the moment.. But we are soon going to re-launch our website and it will be even more awesome than before!
メリー *<( ≧▽≦)/□☆□\(≧▽≦ )>* クリスマス!
Hello! Sorry I haven’t updated in a while. I’ve been so busy this week. But I thought I’d just write a quick post about yesterdays Halloween party. It was both a halloween party and a birthday party for two friends of mine. They really love Minecraft. So I thought I’d do a Minecraft theme for this party ^_^
And then I made a matching outfit~~ it was kind of last minute though, so it didn’t turn out as great as I wanted it to.. but anyway~~

I was trying to be a Creeper from Minecraft. Creepy, huh? ….. (ha…ha…ha :’)
I think I’m going to attend another halloween party next weekend. Need to come up with an outfit…
