I [...]]]> soo… Christmas is upon us! … was upon us. I hope everyone had a nice Christmas. I sure did ^-^ Though I’m terribly busy as always… but I still wanted to make time to write a blog post. But it won’t be a very long post I’m afraid. ^^;;

But anyway. Christmas!

I had a wonderful Christmas together with my family and relatives. Lots of laughter and delicious food and candy.

Also, I made a t-shirt graphic for my cousin. ^^

she loves candy, games, manga, dogs and lots of other “geeky” things. ^-^ I’m also planning on selling a similar design at TIFF in the future. But we are currently ongoing maintenance, so we don’t handle any orders at the moment.. But we are soon going to re-launch our website and it will be even more awesome than before!

Hello! I’m sorry I haven’t updated again. But I’ve just been having so much things to do. I’ve been working a lot. Some of you might wonder what it is that I do for work. So I thought I’d show you ^-^

As you may already know, I’m running a small design bureau together with some amazing people and we’re called The Imaginary File Format (or TIFF for short). Aside from illustration, graphics and web design we also do a lot of custom made items for your everyday life.

My latest work are these Kiwi Headphones. Made with acrylic paint.

Speaking of pilates… I’ve been adding some new prints [...]]]> Hello! So, today I’m taking a break from all my “healthy writing”. When I get off work I’m going to do some pilates, and then I’m actually going to go to a pub. That’s not part of my diet… ^^;; so I’m cheating a bit today.

My Meal Plan

Here goes my meal plan for the day. Today with a dinner recipe! This recipe is from the Paulúns GI-månad app. Here it goes

♥ Creamy Pasta with Salmon & Broccoli (3-4 servings):
6 dl penne pasta (high fiber)
500 g fresh broccoli
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 red onion
2.5 cups oat cream
1 dl water
1 tablespoon fish stock
1.5 teaspoons arrowroot
1.5 tbsp lemon juice
grated rind of 1 lemon
150 g salted salmon
salt and pepper

Cook the pasta. When it’s 5 minutes left of the cooking time, add the broccoli to the water. Rinse the cooked pasta and broccoli briefly under cold water and then drain the water. While the pasta is boiling, you can make the sauce. Heat up the oil in a non-stick frying pan and fry the onion in oil for a few minutes. Add the oat cream, water and fishfund. Heat up the sauce and let it simmer for few minutes. Add the arrow root, lemon juice and the grated lemon peel. Boil for a few minutes over medium heat until the sauce thickens. Add salmon and simmer for another few minutes until the salmon is ready. Season with salt andpepper. Put the pasta and broccoli on a plate and pour over the sauce. Finished!

In swedish:

♥ Krämig pasta med lax & broccoli (3-4 portioner):
6 dl pennepasta (rik på fiber)
500 g färsk broccoli
1 msk olivolja
1 rödlök
2,5 dl havregrädde
1 dl vatten
1 msk fiskfond
1,5 tsk arrowrot
1,5 msk citronsaft
rivet skal från 1 citron
150 g rimmad lax
salt och peppar

Koka pastan. När det är 5 minuter kvar av koktiden lägger du i broccolibuketterna. Skölj den kokta pastan och broccolin hastigt under kallt vatten och låt rinna av i ett durkslag. Medan pastan kokas kan du göra såsen. Värm upp oljan i en teflonstekpanna och fräs löken i oljan i några minuter. Tillsätt havregrädden, vattnet och fiskfonden. Koka upp och låt sjuda i några minuter. Tillsätt arrowroten, citronsaften och det rivna citronskalet. Koka upp och låt sjuda under omkörning i några minuter på  medelstark värme tills såsen blir tjockare. Lägg i laxen och låt sjuda i ytterligare några minuter tills laxen är färdig. Smaka av med salt och peppar. Fördela pastan och broccolin på talriken och häll över såsen. Färdigt!

drink: coffee and multivitamin
Lunch:
Sandwich with beans, cottage cheese and salmon (gonna’ use it for the dinner later)
drink: fun light… ^^;;
Early snack:
leftovers from the berry smoothie
green tea
Dinner:
Creamy pasta with salmon and broccoli
drink: orange juice
Late snack:
Fruit and some nuts.
CHEATING TODAY: drinking alcohol at a pub. But I’ll try to stick to the “light” alternatives. such as Xider Bright (it’s actually really good!)

What I wanted to write about is that I’m FINALLY FINISHED with my art assignments for various (..2) design universities I’ve applied to this year. although this is the first time I apply and I’m not that good an artist yet I won’t get in this year… but it feels good to have applied anyway! the assignments were kinda fun to do as well. Assignments for Beckmans – Visual Communication

Nr 1. The assignment was to choose a scent/fragrance and describe it with an illustration. I chose the perfume Chanel No.5

Nr 2. The assignment was to chose a quote and make an illustration for it, and then apply it to a suitable environment. I chose “life is a journey, not a destination” and applied it onto a car.

Nr 3. The assignment was to make a poster and invitation card for an exhibition of Jeanloup Sieff photography exhibition on Moderna Museet. And to show our work process.

Nr 4. The assignment was to make a book cover for August Strindberg – Röda Rummet

Nr 7. The assignment was to come up with a name for and make a graphic profile for an organic bakery. I named my bakery “Andra Bullar” (lit. other buns) Sorry all the text is in swedish ^^;;

Nr 8. The assignment was to make a story with 5 illustration with the theme “secrets”. and then put them together in a small fanzine. I chose to make a story for “the magician’s secret: rabbit in the hat”

Assignments for Konstfack – Graphic Design and Illustration

Nr 1. The assignment was to make an ABC Book. I made a “Self Help ABC”. in retro style! I love the design from the 50:s <3 sorry the picture is too small for you to can’t read the text, but I figured since it’s in swedish anyway.. also, the colored got kind of messed up when I converted the picture to RGB >_>

Nr 2. The assignment was to take a sentence that we liked and apply it to different design environments. I chose “Make Cupcakes Not War” and made a box, an advertisement and an illustration.

Nr 3. The assignment was to illustrate an event. I chose a simple one. I was at home one day and did pilates. and my cat really wanted to join me. The Pilates Cat! (I’ll probably make paintings/posters of the later and sell at our online shop! ^^)
